Minutes of General Committee meeting @ Northern Hotel, Brechin

7pm, Monday 16^th August 2010

Present: Clark Renilson, Alan Renilson, David Longmuir, Kevin Harrison, David Greig, David Wilson, Doug Walker, Malcolm Hay, Lucy Clarke, Gordon Campbell, Graham McLaren, W. Hamilton, John Hodds, Alastair Shaw, David Easton.

Apologies: Derek Mitchell, Marshall Alexander.

1. The chairman welcomed those present and read out the minutes of the previous meeting, accepted as accurate.
2. Matters arising: i). all teams have registered and insured their players. ii). reps are still needed from the boys’ teams for the executive committee. iii). under 8s have purchased kits different to the rest of the club, this was discussed at length, ok for them to use these new strips. iv). training facilities have been booked at the leisure centre for all teams, managers were all given their days/times. v). match pitches have been booked for the High School. Concerns raised about the 7-a-side junior teams playing at Matrix park. Chairman to formally meet with Brechin Vics and David Longmuir this week to further discuss this. The committee was in favour of allowing all the junior 7-a-side teams to use this facility.
3. Secretary’s report: not available.
4. Treasurer’s report: account currently £4316. Several cheques still to be paid amounting to few hundred pounds, cheque for £700 from Angus show just received.
5. Player protection officer report: not available.
6. Sub-committee report: not available.
7. Team reports: the managers discussed their pre-seasons, no specific issues raised. Please can any manager needing coaching/first aid/child protection courses email the chairman amshaw@doctors.org.uk to get these arranged.
8. AOCB: i). new kits and equipment handed out to the managers. ii). an introductory pack with information for new managers to be created, Alastair Shaw, David Easton & David Longmuir to take this forward.
9. Date of next meeting: to be arranged by secretary.
